Hi Rob, glad you can come. Distance I love but paying for fuel I don't, luckily I can combine pleasure with a little work to cover the $$ ;-)

The price of diesel is high, but especially so in the U.K! I'm going to fuel up in Belgium plus 20 litres extra at 1,28 euros per litre. (off motorway)
Looking forward to a great meeting!

Cider tasted - check.
Un-pasteurised Cheddar cheese tasted - check.
Stilton cheese tasted - check.
More lanes reccied - check. Unfortunately three more are TRO'd, but there are still some goodies. The (infamous to me!) Pipe track ready to mess with us.
Second ford reccied - check. One of the longest in the country apparently.
Third ford found on map but not yet reccied.
Views of Zummerzet tested for prettiness - check.

Now I'm going to sound really thick....does that mean our wonderful vehicles are banned?

Yes, TRO means we can't do them - either they're closed entirely or have a max vehicle width restriction (3'6" seems to be there to only allow motorbikes).

Ford today was 20" deep. There is a road route bypass nearby so low vehicles won't be left out.

Hoping to be present and correct!

Quick question...Hubby has just purchased a VW Iltis...got 4 wheel drive and rear lockers. Is it ok to bring it along? (will obviously pay the £25 for it as well as the £25 for the syncro)

cheers
let me know if you ever get bored of it, i´d like one of those :D

Hi Jason - I will, but don't hold your breath. Were several on ebay (german) and one on autoscout when John was looking. I happened to check Ebay UK, and it was less than an hour away.... :rofl

Iltis can wade to 60 cm....which means that the 20" ford is just about ok as 60cm= 23.5 inches

Glad there will be a road route as well, though...just in case its deeper!

cheers Patrick.
