To get the drop links off just work them towards the end and lever them off maybe lubricate them if they are extremely tight. I have just changed mine and they came off quite easily, getting them back on was a bit of a strain on the old farting strings though.

Your photos show the droplink lower bush washer half way up the shaft, it should be only up to where the narrow bit ends. You will probably need new washers as well as the bushes and metal inserts. If you have bought the powerflex bushes they come with the metal inserts in the pack.

It's all in the Bentley manual

p.s. Dont forget to mark/remember which way round the antiroll bar came off, you can put it back on upside down...don't ask me how I know :oops: but it will rub on the steering linkage if you do :oops:

thanks for the help guys, I cant get any over here in guernsey (back holiday weekend! ugh!) But will crack on with that next week.

That video does make it look easy... I fear without the vice its going to be a lot more tricky!
