The more I read about non-turbo diesels the more I am pleased I have a petrol van. My advice is get a trusted garage to sort this mess out! Good luck.

There are far more problems with the petrol engines, more things to go wrong.

Yep I got my pump one tooth out first time, lost a bit of power but still ran.
Decided to check pump timing with a dti and adapter, was almost 2mm and not 1mm as it should be, that's when I realised it was a tooth out !
Runs much better now, on a 1.6td

Timing slightly out....how does a 1.6 diesel go from being sluggish to not so sluggish ! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
