That's a great help and is going to save me a lot of time shaping flat metal and then struggling to fit the windscreen!! Ordered one already, hopefully it will get here for the weekend! Thanks again..... Now to work out how to cut out the old rusty bit :/

Getting there Jimmy! Might be worth changing the title of your thread mate as more people will view it if they know your doing bodywork to your van

That bottom welding on the slider, is it a complete piece of metal to fill the hole?

Yes both photos are one piece of flat metal that I have cut and bent to roughly the right shape.
