Just need to work out the best way to cut these rusty patches around the windscreen out now! Any clever people got any ideas that don't involve me buying a plasma cutter? :/

Just a thought as i'm no bodywork specialist, but would it be worth buying this part and cutting out what you need:

Looking good :ok

That's a great help and is going to save me a lot of time shaping flat metal and then struggling to fit the windscreen!! Ordered one already, hopefully it will get here for the weekend! Thanks again..... Now to work out how to cut out the old rusty bit :/

Getting there Jimmy! Might be worth changing the title of your thread mate as more people will view it if they know your doing bodywork to your van :ok

An excellent thread and super useful for me as I am new to the wonderful world of T25 ownership.

Keep up the great posts!

Wow.

That bottom welding on the slider, is it a complete piece of metal to fill the hole?

Which part of the bottom slider are you referring to?

Yes both photos are one piece of flat metal that I have cut and bent to roughly the right shape.

More work on the van again, I've had a couple of days off last week and now the bank holiday weekend and this is what I've been up to.

All the welding is now done.... Finally :)
The filler is almost done, just the sliding door to finish (or so I thought until the primer went on and has shown up a few areas which need more attention to detail)
Then it's on with the colours and off for an mot on Tuesday! With a lot of luck!!
