That was the result after the first garage had finished with it.Headlights had been fixed but instrumentation suddenly faulty. It went into the second garage today and after looking at it, they rang me and told me that they have got the instrumentation/cluster working again but i was told that the cluster was fragile (nearly beyond repair) and would need to be completely replaced. I'm assuming that they were referring to the PCB. Was told that even a heavy jolt on the road could knock the whole thing out again.

Second garage have got cluster operational again, but have been told that it is nearly beyond repair and have been advised to replace cluster. I am assuming they mean PCB because the garage said they could dom nothing. Have been told that a heavy jolt on road could very easily knock it out again.

Update. Cluster buggered.PCB. But garage have managed to get the fuel gauge, temp gauge and coolant lights working. At least the problem has now been clarified.

In addition Juuls, have you checked and cleaned up the earth crowns behind the glove box as it might be worth having a look and checking these as a matter of course? Have a look at the link below for info:

So what's still not working now?
Battery/Alternator light?
Indicators light?
High Beam light?
Did they explain what the 'buggered' part was?
Do you have confidence that you could do a console re-wire as per the Wiki link I sent?
Or will you be looking for a new PCB?
