Cheers
It does sound like dipping is a bit overkill for the condition of the truck. Seeing what mm did on kevs bus has made me think, blasting with a light medium just to get the top surface clean would be enough.
Metalmick8y, did you do any paint removal on the underside of your projects? What do you folks do with chassis areas with loose and decayed underseal?

ah , underside you will see that the sealant has been removed localy only , as no need to take more off, buy a cheap set of wood butchers chisels and its the easiest way to cut/scrape the sealant of with out other more specialised tools, no need to strip paint of everything , same with blasting , you cut the rot out and blast other sreas as needed

Sounds sensible to me
Already had to turn to the chisel on the rear quarter to bash off half an inch of body filler
The face says it all
Seatbelt mounting point... Bare in mind the MOT still hasnt run out.. I think the previous owner had a friend at the testing station
Like i was saying though, overall its damn solid considering. Around the screen is good, chassis, suspension mounts, jacking points.. All look solid. Obviously more probing is to come.
I will start a proper thread once i've built up more pics. Wont back back at the project till next month now..
Here is what she looked like when the last owner delivered her to us..
He didnt deliver my wife at the same time, she jumped in afterwards
More soon
