Happy travels Paul...
Lorcan, hello, we remember you and Sam. Good luck with the Horse, one of the few Syncros Jenny has driven and trialled and found very nice... apart from that gear lever :)

Lorcan wrote:Hello all,
I'm the new owner of the one you call horse, I have meet some of you before at the Irish syncro event in Galway, Clive and Jenny were kind enough to take me and Sam around in their doka that weekend.

Best of luck to Paul on his travels.

First job that needs doing is the gear stick, I can't deal with the fire poker the Paul put in, in its place, Can any one tell me if a standard 5 speed gear stick will fit a syncro.

Thanks,
Lorcan.

Is this the Lorcan that I think it is?

E D I T .... Yes it is! Another chap who knows what he is talking about!

It's me alright Andrew!

plans for the van are just to get everything working right on it for now, and enjoy it as is, having some grate fun with it out on the bogs over here! It can also be used as a back up work van.

I really am getting the itch for some TDI power though, having come from my 1z TDI powered bay , and my AXE TDI(174) T5.

There is a 1Z sitting here with most of the bits you need ..... even the loom has been done!!!

Was thinking more of an afn with immobiliser still on, would feel safer parking in dogy places. Think I will leave the engine at 15 degrees, make up my own mounts ect.

Not that I don't like the 1Z , I'm very happy with the last one you sold me.
