Get the carb bit right first so you know that bit is working fine. Mine has low ish compression figures and runs ok. A little out of puff on long hills but nothing for me to be really worried about. Try and sort the carb. Just a word of warning , try not to delve into different areas of the engine ie fuel, electrics, air in case you are chasing one fault and then upsetting something else. If all else fails coffee and biscuits sounds good. Daz
