i have no idea if they are any different to standard ones. i thought that they were just generally hard to come by.

This is interesting? you saying there is nothing under the pig tail on a petrol 16"? ...maybe a 14" too for that matter. If that's the case I wonder how is the load on the spring pig table is evenly distributed?

petrol 14" have the nylon disc same as 2wd
diesels have the diesel spacer to compensate for the weight of the engine - shown as fitted to both 14" and 16"
16" have 16" spacer to correct the angle as the arm is longer and thus the angle of the spring is altered beyond it's happy place
according to etka/etos then a 16" diesel should have both the diesel spaver and the 16" angle adjuster

have never had a diesel or a 16" so don't know exactly what is fitted to them from the factory, nor do I know if they also have the nylon disc fitted as per the petrol 14" and 2wd vans, which is basically afriction damper/noise reducer

maybe a q for ig16 ?

right, who has a proper diesel 16" and can take a look?

as far as i know, Lloydy's ones are from a diesel 16" which is why i was after some as both mine are now ( or almost in the case of the camper) diesels and when my doka was converted it had lost some height at the back which is why i then realised it should have some kind of compensator.

Mine came with the top rubber diesel spacer and the lower cast thingy pictured by hotpod

I thought that all T3's, syncro or 2wd, have the rubber top insulator.

From what Aidan said to me, the 14" Diesel alloy spacer has less taper (as per the ones in the pics above and what I have in front of me here) and the 16" spacer is quite a bit steeper to help correct the angle of the pigtail caused by the longer swingarm.

These ...139B's of Aidan's I have here go from 12mm thick (measured over one of the 3 pads by the pip) to 17mm (not on pad)

The ones pictured above are the 16" version

I can't measure with my eyes and I've never seen the regular diesel ones to know the difference. None the wiser.

i've only seen mine.. But seeing as they were rusted onto my 16" arms, the safe bet is they are the 16" versions

My 2wd diesel had top rubber spacers, but the three petrols had none.

OK, these ones are 12 mm on the pad by the 'pip' and 17 mm opposite too.

All T25s/T3s should have upper rubber spring base 7D0 511 147 A used on later vehicles too

So I'm holding the new 16" ones, Simon TMT must have Aidan's new 14" pair.

Hotpod, you're well into this already and your foundry is local (I have to add 15-20 miles to a regular 150 round trip) so I think I'll bow out and leave it to you. I've got too much on my plate that needs finishing without another product development...

All yours to carve!

ok
if anyone wants some, let me know. the more the merrier obviously, but if we assume that the numbers will be small, they will be £40 / pair plus VAT plus shipping which wont be much as they are quite light. i will check the price.
If we can find 10 people who want them they will be £30/pair etc.
