I served my apprenticeship on Jaguars, and one of the best uses of graphite powder was to brush it into the felt window channels for super slick window glass operation (electric or manual) it stops the glass sticking as you wind up/down at the same time it doesn't smear all over the glass...that's not to say it isn't messy because it can be if you aren't careful when applying. However, graphite is a long term solution to sticky windows unlike WD40.

In my experience, industrial lubricants beat the pants off plus-gas but they're so ridiculously expensive.... :shock:

And having worked(every day work) with wd40 and gt85 for years I'd use gt85 any day over wd40 with the added advantage that gt85 now comes in a non pressurised can !

Used brake fluid on hot/warmed rusty joint is a good second to plus gas.

Yep, GT85 all the way as a penetrating fluid :ok
