Fair comment, MM. I was just attempting to clear up some of the confusion when you hear people trot out the old "all MOT repairs must be continuously seam welded" misunderstanding.
Brilliant comments in your subsequent posts, by the way. You have to wonder how some of these "professionals" can sleep at night, or whether they get any real satisfaction from what they do. Admittedly, not everyone is as much of an artist as you are, but why bother if they're not going to do the job properly? And, because they don't document the work under the surface, like you do, it's only when the dreaded brown stuff starts breaking through the shiny paint in a couple of years that anyone's the wiser. Shocking, really.

Crikey is it all really that bad. I do understand what you are saying mm. Unfortunately I'm pretty much a novice in all this. But regardless of what you guys have said. Mabel is mine and I want to keep her. If I need to spend money on her I will have to save up. I'm to attached already lol..

I think what is trying to be said, is enjoy your new van. The quality of the work done may not be up there with the best, but there is many more going around exactly the same. In fact if you wait a month or so, you will see very similar work being pulled apart on mine. My van looks good, other people say its a nice van, I could have driven it for many more years without bother. So, don't worry, be happy.. Pretty soon you'll be worrying about more pertinent things like what oil to put in and where's the windscreen wash reservoir
