Osterreich gets my vote. We could drop in on my mad Anglophile mate in the Oberland, right up North. Just over the border from Passau in Munzkirchen. Practically on route to Graz!

Austria was first suggested for the 25th, until Henning offered their annual Mammoth Park event, and their organisation to run it...

I just fired off a e-mail to Park Wood 4x4 Centre in Bradford, rather large pay and play centre.
Easy reach of the port at Hull for German/Dutch visitors.

I thought they might tie it in with Berlin Busfest after some chat at Malvern. But there were no definitive details.

Hosting it here would be awesome and I would hope the UK Syncro community would attend and/or help out.

I spoke with the guy organising at the Berlin Bulli Fest.
He said that the 30th will not be a big party like the 25th was.
He is now alone in organising it and has very little time.

Sounds like there could be an opening then...?

Been thinking about this for 9 years
Hull is fine but crossing there is five to 10 times the cost of Dover crossing and not much better situated for the majority of our continental cousins so I think it's got to be down South
Having been to Syncro20 and 25 and all the UK Syncropendence events and a lot of other UK Syncro events I think what we'd need to make it worthwhile for anyone to cross the channel is convenient down south but quiet enough rural england pleasnt green with a couple of good days laning and a pay and play and camp site with exclusive big enough for 50-150 units

Syncro20 150 ish vans from across europe inc 5 was it from the UK
Syncro25 570 ish vans from across europe and beyond with some 45ish from UK

and we can't get more than 25 to come to Syncropendence, 1/4 of those from UK who went to 25 haven't attended any UK syncro events though plenty more go to Busfest/Vanfest each year - biggest turnout we've had in the UK maybe 30

To make this happen in a worthwhile fashion a dozen peeps would each have to put in a weeks work in advance for no pay honestly or 100 people all put in a days work

I'd suggest Salisbury Stonehenge as the venue as good lanes both on and off plain, plenty good pubs, rural, not too far from Dove/Folkstoner but far enough for an adventure/other tourism/London etc., opportunity for tie in with squadies maybe ?

The thing with 25 was the fact that there was other stuff to do, factory tour, Grundmanns, bullimuseum etc, in the UK there isn't any of that other cool stuff to do so it would need to be fairly near some other attraction to make it viable for people to travel for, so there were other things to do whilst they had made the effort to come.
I know what you mean about crossing prices but it didn't stop Us going from hull to 25.
Bradford maybe the ringpiece of the north bit York isn't that far away, dales, lakes, peaks (what's left of them)
How many other big pay and plays are there? One's that can handle a fair sized crowd? Is there a Jenson museum anywhere for the most tenuous Syncro link?
