Think I'd be looking at GVW, rather than kerb weight. A quick google suggests that even a Mondeo estate has a GVW around 2.4t, compared to 2.5t on our vans.

Sorry but that looks ridiculous. That wheel is way to big for this sytle of van IMHO.

i love it if only my t25 was that low.or if air bags were not so pricey.

I agree.. gross weight is the important bit.. But also a lot of OE quality wheels are forged and over engineered..

Only Syncro's have a GVW of 2.5t... 2wd max is 2390kgs
Unless the 2wd van was specced with the factory HD suspension option, where the GVW is 2.6t.. Very rare...

But.. I dare bet most campers are loaded to more than that when going on holidays etc.. you would be surprised at how much an "empty" camper weighs..

Our 2wd Westy's 2450, according to the VIN plate.

My van a tin top with limited fittings goes 1.7 tonnes on the weigh bridge.
