Jed/Hugomonkey - are you using the Brickwerks ones, or did they come from another supplier? Simon hasn't attached details of the 'mushroom top', so I'm guessing he doesn't stock them?

The stuff simon linked to are what you should have fitted as standard, have a look in your d pillar. It's really tucked up tight in the corner of it. Jed has removed that and fitted a custom set up. Just look on the 4x4 websites and you'll find those mushroom things

The mushroom things are a little different to the ones we've fitted.

The mushroom style ones are probably what you were thinking of Lloyd, they spin the air as it enters the unit and it tries to throw as much of the dust out of a slit in the top of it as possible.

Ours work on a similar principle but they have a vessel that collects all of the dust. The ones we are using are more commonly seen on Tractors, Plant machinery etc. We also specced these particular ones as they enable the required amount of airflow. :ok

Instead of cutting and welding a pipe to get that dog-leg shape, my idea was to use a landy elbow (with attachment plate already fitted), and simply bolt it to the side air intake. Cut a hole through the intake, pass the elbow through it, and simply bolt it up, sandwich style. Flexi pipe down to the engine, and you're done?
Where my knowledge falls down is at the other end. Can't quite visualise how the bottom end of the pipe fits.
