As much as I'd like to be there, I've got to admit that I can spend the fuel money and fees on more useful things right now. Like waffle boards and a hi-lift (which I could probably buy at the show but hey-ho)

Got to keep it real, I've been going though some pics from not that long a go I found this, and it's giving me the twitch for the hills again:

That was late February 2010. It's been too long, I've got to get fit and back on the hill.

I'm hoping to come up to this show, and actually stay over (yeah, yeah, I know I always say that, but I need to get out of the house for a couple of days). Can I just turn up, pay on the gate, and camp with you guys, or not?

I gave them a call (on 02476 731971) to ask a few questions.
Apparently you can turn up on either day and pay on the gate. They have plenty of camping room, and so there should be no problem parking up with all the other 80-90ers. You have to pay per van to camp AND pay per person to get into the show. It's £12 per van per night to camp, plus £12 per adult to get into the show, so if you stay Friday and Saturday and go in to the show Sat and Sun, then it will cost you £48 in total, if you're on your own.
Note that there is no card payment on the gate - you need to pay in cash.
