Sorry to highjack the thread slightly, but is it worth removing that bit of cardboard or is there an alternative replacement? I'm replacing the rad this weekend.

Our Tin-Top has not had those panels for a few years now, ever since I changed the rad and they fell to bits. Ni ill effects that I have noticed.
