Just Kampers towbar going back, collection tomorrow.

Would this be a better option?


Am I right in thinking the bar fits behind the rear bumper?

Am I also right in thinking I can buy the necessary electrics separately?

perfect, old irons off and bolt this straight in, you may need to cut a notch out the underside of the bumper (normal )
you can then sell you old irons on here for £20ish the pair.... win win. how much the bar??

it does go behind the bumper.
you can buy electrics, but the mount for the female electrics plug is missing, where would you mount the plug?

unbolt the ball kev and make/aquire /fit a plate or drill and bolt a single bracket to side of the plate the ball bolts to

Paid £62 for the tow bar on ebay (thats why I was a bit cagey before as didn't want anyone else bidding), paid a bit over the odds for a secondhand one without all the electrics but if I can sell the old irons for about £20 then makes it about right

Just realised it was £56, £62 was my maximum bid. Small world indeed, just need to source the electrics now.

Saves the effort of taking the broken corroded socket and rat-chewed wiring off and binning them, so that's a good thing... It's _always_ worth the few extra quid to buy a new socket and bit of 7-core.
