Take the tell-tale switch out and try again.

Can I come clive darling?
I'm dropping Nada off at the airport on the Saturday at silly o'clock in the morning and thought that it would be great to carry on to you lot of "mud pluggers" for a beer or 2.
Any chance of an address of the campsite. I know I've been there before but the brain went when I retired

as clive said remove the actuator and the warning light switch. the switch should have a spaced washer (as in a washer that acts as a spacer) on it. tip some gear box oil down the hole that the swich came out of. have a cup of tea,
than lightly tap the pin, its sprung loaded so it should return to the outer most setting.
good luck neil

Neil, you mean good luck Craig surely
Also make sure you are turning the wheel about 1/4 turn as you press the shaft in. I think the washer spacer may be missing or wrong thickness... apparently 'the garage' put the switch in!
Trouble is access on the petrol installation?

We will be there plus or minus additional family, all say they want to come this year but will probably change their mind at the last minute,
Craig, dont worry about the lockers, we will make sure that you are both safe, remember Land rovers didn't have difflocks !

anyhow I think mine need some tlc as well, they seem to work occasionally., just like me really

.
Neal and Ian, you both need to make it down otherwise all the beer Ive bought for you will have to go back to Tescos!
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon

Regrettably I'll miss the meet this year. It's such a long (costly) drive from oop north, and I want to do Busfest this year. Then the other day I was asked, with Alex, to display my pickup at Tatton and get in free, so that weekend won't be a total writeoff.
Have fun, I want to see the pics and vids !

It looks like we'll be able to make it (Lisa, Finn, Ed and Rich)
So we aim to come down Friday evening and leave on Sunday. Electric hook-up for 2 nights if possible please.
Driving on Saturday and Sunday (if there's any driving planned for Sunday that is)
Kit we've got:
CB, spade, strops (long and short), shackles, Pruning Saw

Still flipping a coin on it, want to get out and see everyone again, goes without saying obviously...I'm sure that little madam will be up for it again but she might want a bit more sunshine this time! I reckon the VC's got one more outing in it yet, will stare hard into the diary this evening and see what we've got in the playtime fuel fund, then approach the War Office
P.S.
EX15 2BS for those with a working satnav
