i phoned round a few tyres fitters as im after a 185/14 road2005 event tyre,as i have three on already thought id keep them all the same make.Problem is i cant find any but most of tyre fitters said just use transit van tyre as they are same.

Never heard of 'em. Probably some retailer's own-brand Chinese-sourced cheapies...
but most of tyre fitters said just use transhite van tyre as they are same.
That depends. If they're 185 14c Tranny tyres, then - yep. If they're a different size, then - nope...

Best tyres I ever had on the van were Pirelli P6's
Judged by the road noise length of service and projected stopping distances.
Current tyres on are awful
