The pushrod is available as a separate item
It should be 100mm long
As is the bakerlite spacer...
Remember this is a one way fit...so do't forget how it fits

100mm Push Rod ...
http://www.germancampercompany.com/push ... p-774.html
Pump Pedestal ...

Pedestal Base Gasket ...

There's also another gasket between the pump and the pedestal which is usually fine anyway but can be remade of Cornflake box or even gasket paper if you desire.

Thanks Kev and Ian for the info on the push rod. I've measured it and its about 96mm long.
I've ordered a full set of bits and gaskets from VW heritage. About £35 with the postage.
Just checking that the push rod goes pointy end down. Into the engine and the pump sits on the flat end ?
Thanks again for the help
Mick

Hi Kev, Ian and all others who helped me with this.
Bertie is fixed ! I've been to the tip and about time too. I need to give Bertie a good clean now.
Thanks again, come round for a cup of tea anytime, you've earned it.
As for me I've learnt another lesson......again.
