Time to sort my watercooled chargecooler which i think is partially 'airlocked' at the chargecooler which is mounted right of gearbox (from rear)and does not have much of a fluid head to help keep air out.
Regularly see 64 deg on Holden hill out of Exeter which is way too high judging by other TDI readings.
I am also interested in the remapbut understand the 80 pin ECU and earlier variants require ECU sending to a 'specialist' for chip replacement so any recommends by name/area is good information for fellow tdi converts.
For info my (now non limp mode AFN) makes around 1 bar 14 psi boost (this is reading from ultragauge not vagcom so may be slightly higher when spiking).

Hi mate, you'll be better off taking the van to somewhere like pendle performance. They have a rolling road and he reprograms the chip and solders it back in. You can then see if it works on the rollers and fine tune it.
:ok

My inter cooler is mounted above the gearbox and has some big scoops each side that direct air onto it.
Works a treat. Intake temps on my scan gauge prove that it's a very effective solution.
How is yours set up?

would also like photos of where you have the intercooler mounted and the scoops. cheers
