I understand what you're getting at.

Suppose I'll have to try it initially with a 28mbar and see how it is. I'm sure it would be noticeable if the jet is too small on the hob
Slightly off topic... I'm a bit confused about my Westy kitchen unit, the warning notices printed on the metal framework at the front are in English, shouldn't they be in German? (Or could it be a US version?)
The other reason I think it's US, is that the fridge is a different type than the standard Westy one, its 3 way but the mains runs off 120v. The other massive giveaway signs are that the fridge plug and socket on the side unit are American (two vertical flat pins. not round ones!)

Not seen one myself but I agree with your observations...120V has to be US I would have thought.
What warning signs are you talking about...on the metal frame?
But like you say...very likely US spec.(Vanagon)

On the front metal (brown) plate, to the left of the hob controls, there's a warning saying that cooking appliances shouldn't be used for comfort heating. Also, on the inside of the wooden fridge door, are a couple of Westfalia black metallic plates with English writing.
I agree it looks as if it's from a Vanagon... I've never come across an American version
Won't be able to connect the fridge to the mains without a step down

That's a useful site
The RM122 is my old fridge (gas/12v). The "American" one is a different model, but it's still made by Electrolux/Dometic, so I'm sure that site will sell parts for it

Will have a look what the model number is tomorrow

After being sent on a wild goose chase around nearly every plumbing supplier in Cardiff

... I eventually was directed to a pneumatic supplier that found me a couple of fittings to fit straight onto the hob/fridge, and the other side onto 8mm copper pipe
Many thanks Martin and Lloydy for your advice... lets just hope that the appliances actually work now
