Yeah on the Bosch - one goes to the -1 and the other to the -15 or something. Anyways, two heads are better than one and minus £30 for a mobile mechanic job done. Firing sequence was out, I can't count to 4 and it was off by 10 degrees. You know, I can wire an electric guitar, build an attic, fix my mountain bike but can't see how to sort a distributor but hey at least she's running now, just the carb to sort now and nearly ready for spring trips.
Cheers as always to everyone.
Steve

i was just thinking -
when people refer to no 1 spark plug no 2 etc -
eg - use no 1 spark plug for your ignition timing light -
how does this relate to ian hulley's map?

'10 o'clock lead goes to top left pot

2 o'clock lead goes to bottom right pot

4 o'clock lead goes to top right pot

8 o'clock lead goes to bottom left pot'

Looks good. Although my distributor was off a bit so No1 was in a 6 o'clock position then going clockwise it was 4 3 2 so yeah.
Cheers
