No, that's rings allowing oil into the combustion chamber.

It's pretty much a constant half pressure to revs 1 bar at 2000rpm... No I haven't changed the sender!dave friday wrote:whats the pressure at 2000rpm?...have you replaced the high oil pressure switch?[the one thar sets the buzzer off?]
I fitted an electric oil temp gauge using a braided extension pipe from where the sender was between the pushrods (2.1 DJ) which is now located ontop of the engine.KINGPRAWN wrote:It's pretty much a constant half pressure to revs 1 bar at 2000rpm... Now thinking back, when I fitted the pressure gauge and relocated the sender the buzzer would sound at 1500 ish rpm.. So I swaped it with the sender that was between the pullies ( replaced with the oil temp sender) and that cured the buzzer... Is this relevant ?????KINGPRAWN wrote:I fitted an electric oil temp gauge using a braided extension pipe from where the sender was between the pushrods (2.1 DJ) which is now located ontop of the engine.KINGPRAWN wrote:It's pretty much a constant half pressure to revs 1 bar at 2000rpm... Just swaped the senders over for piece of mind, and as you say buzzer @2200! So I guess all is well so far as sparky stuff is concerned !Ian Hulley wrote:The B.O.D. should only be triggered at 2000 (or 2200 ?) rpm so you definately have electrical issues somewhere.

Yeh... But IS it a problem!.... It seems my options are to check/change bearings and/or the oil pump???metalmick8y wrote:ah you never aluded to that, so you can confirm that your vdo matches the wet gauge which is the important way round
seems a problem then
