All this talk of FAST CHARGING reminds me of some electric basics from my College days, where 10% of the batteries amp hour rating was regularly quoted as being the IDEAL charge rate. So, whilst I can see the attraction, you don't get anything for nothing and this will surely shorten the life of batteries as well as alternators...just a thought.
And
As these things are not cheap, a spare alternator is a small price in the overall cost.
Or perhaps just a spare rotor and regulator brush pack (slip rings and brushes being the bits that wear)

I was thinking the same thing re alternator wear Martin.
Still, there are at least two of these running in vans for at least a couple of years (Jed and lollydy) and neither of them have complained of excessive alternator wear.
Still, I guess we won't hear anything bad about them from Jed now he's started selling them lol!
I will be getting one at some point. A few more important issues address first.
