A great write up in your blog, it was a pleasure to meet you and your family, im really pleased your happy with the 1y and the oe look to the install, it couldnt have gone better (well it could have been warmer :) )

im looking forward to seeing how the mpg are with the new engine :ok

are you using the 1Y exhaust mani? looks a tidy swap, although how have you done the cold start side of it?

1Y exhaust and inlet manifolds. Welded up 4 right angled bends to construct the exhaust pipe to give the same routing as the CS one.

Cold start, I ditched the temp operated gubbins that was on there and just converted it back to using the cable by drilling out the sensor and feeding cold start cable through it.Adjusted the lever stops so that there was more movement so that I could tell that the lever had been pulled!
