On Bigherb's advice I started swapping the battery over for the van. The previous owner threw included a generic 75ah lead acid battery. Although it's always seemed to hold it's charge, I've never had it connected to anything other than a multimeter, I decided to see how dry the cells were. I couldn't see ANY liquid in there and all the plates were exposed. So I grabbed my bottle of ionised water and started topping them up. And ran out. It took a whole 1 litre bottle and still wasn't full. I plugged it in anyway and it started first time! :)

I got another bottle yesterday and topped up the cells and have left it on the solar panel to see what happens.

Now to order all the bits for the leisure battery hook up and get the blower sorted before the chilly winter month roll in!
