I've asked the question and yes F&R diff lock but he's not tried them so not sure if they work or even how too!!

It's amazing how many time I've asked that question when looking at vans on ebay and people reply "not sure if they work because I've never used them" ?? I can't believe that. I know the 1st thing I'll do when I get one is try it off road

Does anyone know the hightop devon on ebay ?? no MOT and tax is just about to run out, it only £1,500 so thinking about bidding blind for it.
for the right price if it's OK ish then could do it up or if crap? well still keeping my options open on converting my Atlantic

The guy has updated his description and states there were only 254 rhd panels built

That makes my twin slider syncro panel van very rare then lol....

I always thought full bulkhead panel vans had vents in the rear quarter panels up near the top. This one doesn't ....

Someone's paid £4,300 for it, I do hope they're not dissapointed.

Not me, but still interesting to see how much it went for. I'd heard they were becoming rare, but it's nice to hear it again, as I've found it bloody difficult to turn mine into a usable DIY camper WITHOUT cutting any windows or other big holes in it, and after a hot camping trip was beginning to wonder whether I am being too precious!!

That was what I thought, looks very original. Just need to see under the side panels.

Don't chop it mate,You could improve your ventilation by fitting a slider with sliding window,the original can be re-fitted to bring it back to standard. Also a rear fitted sun roof (not a cheapy job) helps,and you can watch the stars when yer horizontal

There is a tailgate lock extension (secure) which allows fresh air to enter.

My last tintop was hot inside in the summer,internal insulation and painting the roof white "sorted"

But by all means chop it if you wish,will make my original panel worth a smidge more

If I was gonna chop it I'd only do so for the pop-top - I don't care much for windows anyway (less space for ventilation and then you need bloody curtains!). I don't think I'll do it though, cos it means less carrying capacity on the roof!

I already have a different slider with westy double glazing (original door stored in the garage) - also have a westy double glazed top hung opener and am trying to figure out if I can make this fit sliding door without the gubbins inside fouling the body when I open the door. I've already got a tailgate stand (helps quite a lot), and have built a mechanical extract system which helps alot too (but was a right faff).

I'm hoping that the full length roof rack that I'm having altered will also help once finished - will probably fit a plywood deck on it which I may paint white.

That camper in NI does look good value though - and it's be great fun losing all those spoilers and bumpers offroading somewhere
