I went with leaving the EGR attached, but changing the opening value of it in VAGCOM, meaning that it will never open

have also read that as well ... ok think i will just leave it for now regardless ...plenty of things to do .. got to get ready for the weekend conversion ! lol

but anyway .. will be keeping standard TDI water pump
and i wont need the powersteering pump as i run an electric saxo powersteering pump up front

Anyone know if there is a wiring diagram around for these tdi's. ?
Ecu pin outs etc

got rid of some wires today ...
still got allot left :
might have more of a go later once kids are in bed
also thinking of mounting the throttle pedal under the floor linked to old T25 pedal

while the wifes away the loom can come out to play ... after kids had gone to bed .. took some more unwanted wires off .. well i hope they are unwanted ! lol
also won a scanguage II off ebay ....

another two bags of wiring gone ...
dont think i will remove much more from the loom , untill the engine is in , i can then get the engine running .. then remove the last items / re-wire dash connections etc..

dropped the engine off today at my mates , (its where i will be doing the weekend conversion to AFN )
while i was there i took off the power steering pump and air con pump , need to collect my new water pump pulley from VW.
my friend will also do a cambelt change and a few other things while its sitting there...
and also dumped a box of bits
need to order a few more bits . :
Sump gasket
main oil seal
anyone think of some other bits i cant make that i need to buy ?

Have you got a block bung? it fills the hole in the block where the turbo oil return use to go, also think about the intercooler as if you need any silicon pipe or bends search for MRSILICON on ebay, they are great
