I've been told it is. I'm loving it.
Had a bloke offer to buy it a week ago or so for his mate. I said no lol.
But did mention club80-90 so there might be another syncro lover to the fold.

Well I drove it round a car park on full steering lock left and right and after a few turns slightly judder.
+ when the revs are low it sounds clunkyish more strained.

Go for a few miles and then do the car park thing. Going from lock to lock wont prove anything. The VC need to be at working temperature before a proper judgement can be made. Drive it for a few miles then if it starts to fight the steering when turning a sharp bend or into something like a car park space then its a tight one. If it is fooked then you will get lots of wheel jumping .....

I went a few miles did the car park thing which was fine.
But when I drove changed through the gears at 4 and 5 gear there was a lot of shaking so I think a new VC is in order.
Has any of you put a second hand VC in?

before you blame the VC take the prop off and drive at the same speed.

It doesn't shake when I drive at same speed with prop off.
Unless it could be the front diff is making the shaking happen. I don't know if there is oil in it.

Mine had a tight VC. I first noticed it after a long motorway drive. I tried to turn around in a car park and I had to rev it hard and slip the clip to stop it from stalling. It felt like the brakes were on.
I also tries the test where you chok the front wheels, jack up the rear and try very carefully to spin the rear wheels without the van trying to move forward. It failed. I fitted a new VC and it passed and no more turning issues.
I wouldn't fit a 2nd VC. How would you know if it is any good?

It doesn't feel like that when turning corners it's easy turning corners.
It's just when I drive at a higher speed in 4th gear it kinda feels like the steering shakes and that only happens when the prop is on.

Maybe the prop is out of balance or the UJ's are worn.

Fingers crossed be cheaper than a new VC.
