I'm jus loving the whole process! I'd be fibbing if I said I wasn't excited by the painting, but it's really interesting seeing all the fabricating & being confident knowing that under Chesney's pants & t-shirt, he's fit & healthy!

Well, first lot of paint done, stoppered and recoated now on 3rd flat off so one more coat then flat and paint, we will get there..........
front panal and front pillars

aerial repair side

nsf 1/4, this is the raw state before final seam treatment and adding sealer

same with the filler

get this stage right no matter how long it takes as it will be reflected in the final finnish
replacement o/s sill

front panal ,hopefully the spots will look ok and not too deep, always awkward to get something like

new page to start

rear of o/s track cover

same for the slider side

new nsr arch

underside of nsr gutter area

fine panal guard to the underlip of the arches and a few other areas then colour, happy with it so far

Well painting finnished, had to do the slider twice as the last lot reacted with silicone, real pain.
suppose this is the last time it will be seen naked for a few years

terrosan to be applied to stuff like the fuel filler area prior to refitting , shopuld help with keeping nmasties out, turned out quite nice considering

front panal here looks almost vestal like and pure as the driven snow

this white really suits (pastel)

after all the prep work I have started to apply a very light coat of panalguard just under the cover fixing and down about 4 inches you might just see the slight grainyness to the surface, this will also be treated as well to help protect

its a luxury refitting stuff when its clean . makes it seem almost like brand new,

same here done here and will apply some light grease to the track and treat the rest ,

tailgate is nice and straight now

nsr wing ,Im happy with the seams now

and this is the horrendous nsf 1/4

waiting for p***bucket so more a bit later

right.
os screen reccess, as were fitting genuine seals then it should stay like this

nice snug seals

ready for its new plates

rubbers all cleaned up and tailgate adjusted so it shuts without slamming it to death which is the cause of a lot of the dents either side of the lock button

new smoked fronts fitted, these had the screw holes partly blocked in manufacture, dont be tempted to drill them out as the drill may well pick up and grab, resuling in the lamp cracking , 5 minutes with a needle file did it, they look mint especially on the white paint, lower front panal has come out just about right

a nice new grill appeared too

no mistaking it to the hoy poloi out there.....

happy with progress and i think I like it

mm, where do you get your seals from? and to be cheeky is there any chance of posting a photo of the interior seals of the side windows if youve done them. I am struggling to attach the ones i have, the large rubber seal keeps falling inside the skin.
