and no not had a chance to look yet but havent forgot

Nice. Do you use sealant of any kind on the window rubbers?

No, with regard to the front and rear screens, I wont reuse, I cut the screens out and be done with it, use genuine vw rubber,
I cleaned the glass and obviously the window hole was clean! a lot of effort to get the rubbers onto the glass as they're a nice tight fit, well I cheat a bit and use rubber lube , no not that sort,

the other sort

and also lube up the external part of the rubber then they get fitted as normal with a good rubber mallet and a cord.
the side windows I use a very very nice rubber that forms to a 50mm radius is super tight to the glass and metal and is just very discreet, no sealant needed, the lube helps bed it nicely, we cheat by sticking a U/S emitter in the van and checking round the glass

Mike
sorry bout quality as had to use camera phone but will take a close up of the seal tommorow for you
cheers mike

For the side windows, which window rubbers do you use? from which company and what mm gap on each side?

Well I get them from the extruders direct,

none of the ones youve looked at will be any good,
I will take a detail picky this afternoon and post it up, the other important thing you have to consider is the actual effective radius you can acheive.... these ones work to a 50mm radius which is like a full on right angle, the rubber is very pliable, ovehall sizes are as;
glass 4.5mm
body 1.5mm
web 6.5mm
glass channel depth 7mm
metal channel depth 8mm
overhall height 21-21.5mm
I can supply by the mtr or yard
