Thoughts?

I intend on lifting the front soon with GoWesty progressive springs (US made ones not the H&R ones). There aren't any other front outers I should be looking at better suited for a lift are there?
my doka has the same springs, been running them for about a year and so far no problems on standard CV´s

Presumably you went for the 2' lift ones and not the standard height ones? The site says the lifted ones are designed for westfalias, and so on lighter vehicles you run the risk of being even higher. I'm thinking on the doka it'll be fine but that's unfounded.

No comments on these complete drive shafts? Seems like a great deal to me... Essentially shaft and inner CV for free.

I think the import duty might bump that price up a bit....

I think he might be in the states now....
Lobro and gkn are the same firm aren't they? If so, seems a good deal

Import duty, VAT, parcelfarce ransom and shipping will make a cheap shaft expensive.
I can see if GKN in Europe can supply a full shaft if your are interested? No harm in asking eh!
They are listed in the catalogue, I've just never bothered with them and no one has ever asked for them.

and are they new or refurbished ?
Andy has a GKN/Lobro boxed refurbished complete shaft, cvs are reground with oversize balls and cage, very tight, a bit rough, I used it for a couple of hundred miles and it was still very tight when it came off, that was rear admittedly

Thanks Baxter, worth asking yea.

Aidan, I'll ask tomorrow, but VanCafe don't say refurb so likely are new. I'll ask tomorrow. Thanks all. I'll probably get a couple unless you're cheaper Simon.

Just a heads up that I'll be putting the Tristar up for sale in a few weeks when we're back from Panama. We want to come back here and spend more time, so not a lot of point having it sitting at home doing nothing. If anyone is interested, let me know. Cheers ears.
