Wiring for 3 way fridge help

Fuses are ok. Checked with a meter. Something strange going on. How easy is it to take the fridge out so I can trace the wiring??

It's a pain so..........(going by your original post you can access the ignition switch connections?) there's a small chance that you may have 12v+ at the ignition switch but that the 12- return is broken. Test for voltage at the ignition switch again but instead of testing across the red and black, test across the red and any bare metal of the bodywork you can get to or even the negative of the battery. If you then get a 12v reading there's a break in the black (return) cable.

Assuming that too fails, have you a removable panel above the fridge in the cupboards as all the wiring enters the fridge from the top? You should be able to trace it without removing the fridge. If you haven't - how are you able to get in to test for 12v?

Dont think its poss to get above the fridge. I took the front panel off that covers the switches/knobs and managed to adapt my meter prongs to get to the terminals. Wasnt ideal and would prefer to get a good look in somehow

Looks like it's gotta come out then. I did it a couple of times in my old (Leisuredrive conversion) camper. The fridge unit has vertical wooden battens each side and at the front of the unit. They're only about 3/4" wide. The screws to secure the unit should be screwed in through the walls of the camper furniture panels adjacent to the fridge. Two each side, top and bottom. Remove these and the fridge should pull forward. It may be stood on a 'plinth' too.

Pull it very gently towards you and only enough so that you can shine a torch in there to see the lie of the land - remember there's an exhaust flue pipe and a gas pipe that aren't as flexible as electric cables. There should be enough slack to allow you to at least pull it out enough to gain access to all the connections, electric, gas and exhaust. You may be able to get enough access to achieve what you want without disconnecting all of them but you won't know until it's out a bit.

Frankly, once you have access to the electrical connections ('cos they're at the front), I'd check they're not loose and also do a 'continuity/resistance' test to the Zig unit fuses before completely removing the fridge as replacing the fridge is a bigger pain than removing it 'cos you have to get everything to line up exactly the same again.

Will give it a butchers. I am going round the old mans house on Sunday so will tackle it then. We think he has a holdsworth conversion in his van. The fridge In my autosleeper is slightly different. And I dont have the cf9 zig unit, just the basic autosleeper control panel.
