This is a great site with literally thousands of
french site reviews by campers. Ive found it really useful in chosing where to go. Scroll down the left and you can pinpoint which area you want to look at, then select on the basis of the number of reviews or highest ratings, and you can pull up different maps to get locations for each site.

We got our T25 mainly to use in France in the hols. I cant wait to head south in it. I was a bit nervous after hearing quite a bit of negativity about T25 engines so we picked up one with a 98 golf engine in (AAZ?).
France is an amazing place to camp, and the driving is easy too.

Brilliant aire at Giffaumont Champaubert on the Lac du Der Chantecoq. Seemed to be space for about 50 (but not right on top of each other) or so vans right on the edge of the lake. Unfortunately we'd already booked into the camp site when we found it!
