All,

My hammock arrived from Bluebird last week. So I come to fit it today, and the brackets only fit the posts going upright, yet I'm assured they fit a T25.

Has anyone else fit a Bluebird hammock in theirs without any modifications ?

Super smashing great, that's just the ticket Kathyshack! I had never really thought of screwing one of the plates to the door. I might just do that.

I have one, fixed to the pillars not the door frame. The brackets at the back behind seat head rest I use a small hardwood wedge to hold the hammock in place. My four year old uses it fine.

I noticed that if I put the brackets on the front pillars, there's not enough room to get the pole hooks in because the windscreen is in the way. How did you get round this problem?

Space them off just enough and push hard to get past the rubber!

Ah ha - yes, that's what I thought you might say - use some big washers. I worry if I do that, and use longer screws, the poles might not take as much weight as I'd hoped. We have a few months before the young one will be needing to sleep in the hammock, so should be enough time to get the thing sorted. Cheers for all your help.

Alternatively - put a parcel shelf bed up (see my profile pics - this means you can still use all the seats inc the fronts when the little un is asleep - your feet fit under the parcelshelf bed when you fold down your rock n roll and you can stick a towel up to reduce the noise from your loud partying in the now usable kichen and cab area.

Not sure which one im going for as i kind of got my head round the front bunk! I will have to discuss with the lovely wife..

Now with all that enthusiasm - I am thinking I should post up a few more pics of "Mikey's Parcel Shelf Bed (PSB)" (and patent the idea )
However it is a bit simple and I don't want to be patronising to peeps on here.
If anyone is interested though - will get the camera out (total cost was about £8 including lobster net).

I honestly do think it is much more practical than the cab hammock as we aren't ready to go to sleep at 7;30 and quite like the swivel passenger seat. Tis also great if you have a dodgy sleeper and have to retrieve said child for a bit hug in the middle of the night. We usually managed to put him back in when back asleep.

We only expect to use until the lad is safe to go upstairs - however with another one on the way he/she will have the PSB for a couple of years yet.

Anyway - good luck with whichever choices.

For all the above reasons, that sounds likes a great plan. I love our passenger swivel seat too. Now, Bluebird customs will be at DubFreeze, I wonder if I can find the receipt for the hammock?

mikey - more pics and stuff would be great! where do you get a lobster net from?
defo thinking of doing it for summer as she doesn't seem to like the hightop yet!
