VW Sharan wheels. Do they fit?
Seen some alloys in a local garage. The car is waiting to be writen off by the insurance. VW dealer put me on to it saying they have the required dimensions. May be a problem with the centre?

The centre bore will need machining out. Depending upon the stud size you may need to take out the bolt holes too.

Thanks. I can more than likely enlarge the centre bore with my routers, but drilling a bigger stud bore sound a pain to keep it centred!

wheels ect,

If you are just enlarging the stud/bolt holes slightly then the drill will centre itself in the original holes.

Spacers too

Sharan wheels are exactly the same as Type 4 Transporters you will need spacers as they have an off set that will cause you problems

Ok, ok everybody. :D This is great. You turn your back one minute and everyone is here to help. I guess this is a subject that triggers interest. Will contact those guys tomorrow to see what is happening with those wheels. 8)

If you have to enlarge the bolt holes just a word of warning go very easy as i bought a 14mm drill bit for £23 and snapped it half way through the second hole :( these were merc alloys not sharans by the way, ended up giving them to a mate of a mate to drill them out for me for £25

Sharans are M14x1.5 you really don't have to drill the bolt holes out, the centre bore however is a different matter as thats 57mm and not the requires 64+ mm

sharan wheels arnt ideal for t25´s as the et is high ..ie big spacers normaly needed..

what diameter are they .. if 15" keep clear as they will be around et 52 and with a 7x15 your gona need 25 to 30 mm spacers on the fronts though with that you may not need to increase the centre bore..
if you do then 60mm is what you need and the lip removed from the bearing cap..

if 16" then lesser spacers can be used as there is more clearence for the upper stearing joint. (the main prob with alloys on t25´s)

also the bolt holes will be as said for m14 bolts as the sharan uses bolts that are great for use on alloys on t25´s (just not with sharan wheels..lol)
