RnR bed tweek/upgrade idea?

Hi guys.
I’m looking for some inspiration. I’ve recently learned about the exciting looking ‘Westy Lounge’ rear facing bed prop thing from Westfalias - and it’s got me thinking.
Has anyone adapted the rear section of their RnR bed (over the engine) so that the rear end of the cushion and board hinges upwards, like a reverse rnr bed, if that makes sense? To make like a lounger. I’m looking for inspiration, of ways that it could be made to lock in a near vertical position.
My hope is that this would serve two purposes: it would make an awesome forward facing back rest on waking in the morning, and it should be helpful in accessing the engine bay (by not having to remove the mattress and board).
I’m thinking about use of things like gas struts, rnr hinges (backwards), webbing straps as per: https://pin.it/RDYsF5d
So just looking for thoughts/pictures etc. Thanks all!
Oh, I have an autohomes t25 komet so 3/4 width bed.
