So I'm currently I the process of installing the loom etc. Does anyone have pictures of ecu located under dash on the bracket and the route of the (hardline vacuum hose) I know its kinda irrelevant as it just need to go from front to back but I'd like to make it as original as possible. Does the vacuum hose follow the wiring loom from cab to engine bay?

it probably is clipped with the main loom originally; the syncro vacuum pipes are in their own loom and are clipped in with the main loom; any front to back wiring for the system is only in looms with with the aux heater in the main loom as it is specific to those options but is an and/or option so you could have had both

I posted in Samba asking if location is same whether LHD or RHD? Unusually quiet. No answer in five days.
There is plenty of CC info on Samba. Just not this relevant bit....

OK. Assuming that it's a LHD as is mine it's on the right hand side of the van in front of the wiper motor (mine is currently removed) you can also see the coolant feed hoses to the heater matrix
So i believe it fits here

There are some factory drilled holes but they don't appear to lign up with holes on mounting bracket. I'll have a proper look in daylight

So I had a look just now and there are holes that line up..

They are quite large so washers would be required. And the loom then follows the main loom under the front of the heater box and then over the steering column... So now that's sorted
It's just the factory route of the vacuum hardline I need to figure out now as that appears to go from the rear right engine bay to the front left of the cab.

Still cant visualise location? Is it central behind dash in front of gear lever?
Also is the mounting plate necessary?

On re-reading l assume it sits between heater box and steering column for RHD?

I'm going to say it's the opposite for Rhd vehicles.. There simply is no space for the ecu to go next to the steering column. From what I can tell the behind the dash area is symmetrical and I belive the mounting points it uses are for the steering coloum support bracjets for the opposing Drive and there is plenty of cable on the loom so it makes sense otherwise you are simply trying to cram a large amount of. Cables behind one side of the dash

Should look like the one above but at some point mine has had an end cut off?

I have just acquired a US spec stalk.
I the cruise control side is straight forward
But I belive I need to add some pins to the main part I order for it to control the indicators and headlight flasher of a european/UK spec van
Has anyone done this or know what needs to be done

Would it not be possible to just swap just that arm over onto a Uk spec mechanism. Looks like it’s only the lugs holding it. The cruise wiring looks to be completely separate.
