Hi all, complete novice here,
Trying to figure out the correct way of joining the
floor,side panel + sil.
Cant see as it has completely rusted away.
Drawn an idea how I think it's to go.
Thanks in advance

Just saw this on "side panel too short"
https://volkswagen.7zap.com/en/rdw/typ+ ... 809-88000/
Looks like I need umber 12 (RHD,one)
Part curves from inner floor surface all the way to bottom lip ?
No sandwich only 2 parts not 3 ?

Original outer sill has an upper flat part which goes in to the floor making the whole sill a box. The side panel is welded onto the top of that.
You can find original sill panels but there are cheaper repros too. The repros dont have the flat part, but a piece of sheet metal can be welded on.

Thank you ZsZ.
Probably going to patch for now.
At least got an idea of how to lay floor in prep for a new outer sill.
Cheers
