Hi everyone,

I can't seem to find any information about this online or in the Haynes book, so I'm hoping you can help.

I've got a 1987 1.9 petrol DG engine. RHD.

Taking a look at the pics:

Should anything be attached to this?

On the other one, there's a (knackered) hose connecting to the air filter box (I think that's what it is) behind the rear driver side lights.

I can't seem to find out what they are for?

There's a hole in the air filter box that looks like it should have a hose attached?

Thank you!

Thats the hot air feed, heat from the outside of the exhaust manifold is directed up the tube into the air intake, this helps with running on cold days, but to be honest I dont think they do too much mines rotted away and needs to be replaced but runs just fine and if dirt gets in it shouldn't matter either as it is before the air filter, but if you can get the hose replacing it is simple enough.

Okay great. I've got a 1m piece coming, so I'll go ahead and replace the damaged one and add on the other.

Thank you!
