Hi mate.
We’ve just bought a 1988 T25 1.9 petrol.  We’re first time motor home owners and feel a bit
We’ve been for a run out in it and the engine started to stall, eventually cut out.
Called AA out and he’s said it’s a problem with petrol filter, he went underneath van and tilted the fuel filter to one side to allow more fuel into carb. He seems to think it’s a problem with fuel filter /carburettor ?
im after someone who could come and have a look at it for me, who knows what they’re on about.
Any help of advice would be appreciated.
cheers
Jason

Have you changed the filter for a new one. IIRC the carb also has a internal filter.

No not yet as it only happened last night. We’re after recommendations really of where’s the best place to take it ( might struggle though as it’s cutting out) to get someone to take a look at it for us.
not being mechanically minded myself, I could do with someone who knows what they’re on about

Changing the filter is a doddle have a go. TBH you need to have a basic service knowledge when you own one of these vans. Or lots of money to pay a garage.

I agree with Rob, my basic mechanical repair knowledge and have a go attitude has greatly improved since owning mine.

Just remember it's a 32 year old vehicle . Get some pictures of the culprit and post them on here or preferably in the tech section.
Ps what part of Chessy are you in ?
