Breakdown CIS

CIS (Co-Op Insurance Services) offer European breakdown cover and repatriation provided your vehicle is insured with them.

This costs approx £55 ~ £50 /annum, and in my case I asked specifically about any limitations with respect to vehicle age... Their answer was that as long as they accepted the vehicle for insurance purposes, then no, age didn't matter.

Generally, provided they will insure your vehicle and you are dead straight with them about any modifications, they are very good to deal with, and premiums very fair. They like to be told of any changes (e.g. wheels, engines etc.) but then don't seem to levy any extra charges if they accept, unlike some others
