Rob: In the plastic bit that the headrest slides into there is a slit. If you put a small screwdriver into this slit there is a clip - you need to extract this.
1.If you look carefully you can see the retaining clip.
2.insert small screwdriver..
3.pull clip outwards..

Straight leg of clip is to the back side of headrest. The side of headrest rods that has the notches in them.
