been quite sometime since i worked on a pierburg, but if your talkin about a sensor you are possibly seeing the idle solenoid, has it got one wire to it bout halfway up the carb
Cheers - I'll have a look - think I need to find out which pierburg carb it is - how would we find out - all we know is the engine was replaced by an "E" reg engine a couple of years ago.
Laura & Martin - "Bert" 1985 1.9 Watercooled work in progress!!!!
whats actualy the issue with van to get you to this stage mate, i know you asked what sensor it was but it may help if i new what the issue was, may get a quicker answer lol, if you said it didnt idle i could guide you from there or if you said the choke wasnt working as i think they are electrified then we could go from there, sorry im a bit vague but its always harder without seeing the carb
If it's a idle solenoid that you are talking about you can do a independent check on it's functionality, it will click when disconnected then reconnected. Hope that helps a little
I have a 1.9 DG Petrol Watercooled Panel Van 1990 ... that im starting to believe has issues!!!!
