Hi
We have just had a new windsreen and rubber fitted to our van. (1.9 autosleeper) Old screen was chipped and leaking. so we had it all relaced. When the old screen came out found a small amount of surface rust cleaned it up trated it and had new srceen fitted. 2 days later it rained and it still leaks. Looks like off side lower corner. Any suggestions from anyone.

Re: Windscreen leak
Needs to be dry first, but when I repaired surround on mine and fitted new seal, I used roofing mastic (gun/tube type - £3 ish) afterwards squeezed under the lip. If non orig seal (ie JK) it probably will leak!

Speaking of which Mike I have found out that windscreen seal I left with you... is not VW... so bin it and I'll get a VW one.

Re: Windscreen leak
For now try the roofing mastic but it'll be difficult to do if theres water under that seal. Needs to sit in a warm garage for a week or more to dry it out. Do NOT use silicone or aquatic sealant - it will not work.
