2.1 mv runs on lpg but not on petrol

Post by bodgit »

any clues good people?it will idle fine on fuel but has no power at all-switch over to gas and it runs just fine, normal power. can i rule out electrical/ignition and focus on the fuel system?fuel tank is new and fuel pump, lambda sensor. this is driving me mad so any tips much appreciated.

well if its running on LPG it cant be the ignition and that may rule out the ECU too..
I'd check the wiring and relay fo the injectors/fuel pump as a start, see how thats wired into the lpg control...

thanks for replies. was thinking fuel starvation. am going to do the tests that i can in haynes to test fuel pump delivery, pressure, regulator and injectors. tank is new but could i have cocked up when fitting it? thought i had put all pipework back right. is it possible to have it non vented? going to renew filter but it was ok before.. am also going to renew small pipe from press. regulator to plenum chamber as this looks well past its best. could this cause problems? vacuum pipe i think. busy weekend ahead i guess..... then theres the body work to finish, poptop canvas to fit, blah blah the list goes on!
