Do i need to remove the fuel tank to change the handbrake cable?
both ends are loose but i cannot get the cable to pass through the top of the fuel tank

there's a cunning rubber mount clamped to the chassis above the fuel tank on a 2wd is a T of a job, iirc it's a push fit so you need to be able to put downward force on the cable to release it, not sure if you can do it with tank in place; one of the few jobs that's easier on a syncro as fuel tank is at rear so you can get at the mount; if you get a new cable from Brickwerks you may have to transfer the rubber bit from the old one
