fridge coldest setting?

electrolux fridge what setting is colder 3 or 1? goes from setting 0 then anti clockwise 3 2 1.

Good point, I just assumed 3 was coldest. I always light mine on 3 and leave it there. Couldn't get it to light on gas to start with, then my brother pointed out 0 was off and not on

yep 3's the coldest setting, only normaly use for first few hours then wind it back to 2, still makes ice and keeps my beer and the missus' wine well chilled

Not any sort of expert on this but mine has the temp thermostat setting 0-9 inside the fridge although it has the 1,2,3 on the knob as well.
Could it be that 123 is like the power settings (gas flow) needed to obtain that temp you have selected e.g 1=low for winter use or 3=high for summer use ?
This is the way I use it and not had any problems so far!!

bloody thing wont light now was fine yesterday, van on slight lean and i've heard they dont like that. could that be enough to stop it lighting?

Bob, Regarding lighting a gas fridge, tolerance for Electrolux is +/- 3%.
Not a lot really.

As I said earlier I`m no expert and I was right!!!

Checked out my instruction booklet and it is 1,2,3 (3=max) on gas gives you that varying amount of coolness depending on the ambient temp and the thermostat setting inside the fridge works when its plugged into 240v.....

The figure I have from an authoritative source is 0.2kg per 24 hours. I used ours on gas for a week last year in Sweden and the Camping Gaz 907 cylinder was still going well after that and we were cooking as well of course. So running on gas is usually no dearer than buying hookup just for the fridge. I say usually because whereas refill cost about £15 in UK but in Sweden we had to pay £28!!
