Whats the best camper cover?
Hi
I bought a cover supposedly waterproof, breathable, U.V proof etc, rain seems to get through if the shower is prolonged, even if not particularly heavy, it was not a "cheap & cheerful" one either! Anybody got any tips for the best covers & are any of them waterproof?
Thanks!

A garage.
Re: Whats the best camper cover?
The thing is, if it's breathable it will not be 100% waterproof. If you like the cover you got and want it to be waterproof then you could always treat it with the stuff you get to waterproof tents... remember as it will then no longer be breathable, condensation will form under the cover.

Drive it, avoid those March-April SORN blues ... wondering why everything doesn't work.

Don't bother, caused me more problems by actually holding the water in. Now my roof has been repaired I'll rely on good old elbow grease & plenty of wax.

I suppose you could get a tent-type cover but I agree, a proper garage is best. Covers can wreck your paintwork by flapping in the wind.

Re: Whats the best camper cover?
i got a jk one a couple of years back and it seems to be dry inside. best to use your van though as laying them up does seem to cause probs as others have said. i found if i used it , i would always struggle to get it dry again to cover it. i am thinking of building a car port at fluffs house to keep charlotte in.

Re: Whats the best camper cover?
wax is the best cover...
then extra protection is a roof like a car port, which lets the van "air" and dry naturally.
worst thing is a cover, wrecks paint promotes damp loving mould
best wax for cold weather protection... are
Autoglym Hi Def
Collinite 915 Marque D'Elegance
Nattys White & Blue
RaceGlaze 55
Swissvax Divine, Mystery, BoS and Concourso
Victoria Concours
All applied ONCE then just wash after use
Allways use a HARD wax first , followed with a soft wax.
this will give all winter long paint protection.
As long as detergent is not used and a good quality shampoo is, then the protection is as good as a cover.
